London, England Oct 29, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - The East London School of Classical Music (ELSCM) has launched a new crowdfunding campaign titled 'Help ELSCM Grow: More Places for Young Musicians'. After a decade of transforming lives through music, ELSCM is calling on the community to help it expand its facilities, strengthen its bursary programme, and continue providing access to world-class musical education for all, regardless of background or income.
Founded in 2015 by Fiona Pacquette, ELSCM began with a simple mission: to make classical music accessible to every young person in East London. Over the past ten years, the school has nurtured hundreds of talented students, many of whom have gone on to study at top music conservatoires and perform with prestigious orchestras.
Today, ELSCM faces its biggest challenge yet a shortage of space. With a record number of new applicants and an ever-growing waiting list, the school urgently needs more rehearsal rooms, safe instrument storage, and upgraded teaching areas. To address these challenges, ELSCM aims to raise £25,000 through its current Crowdfunder campaign.
Funds raised will go toward three key areas:
Expanding teaching and rehearsal spaces
Funding a professional rebrand and website update
Protecting and expanding the bursary programme so no student is ever turned away
Every pound donated will directly support the creation of 60 new learning spaces, faster bursary processing, and a more inclusive environment for students of all backgrounds.
